For our trip to Disney World, we surprised our kids with tickets to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party for our arrival day. We were driving so we were not concerned with not making it in time but if you are flying, I do not recommend scheduling a party day on the day of your arrival. We thankfully arrived at our resort at 12:30pm and were able to relax before the party.

We entered Magic Kingdom around 5pm but remember with a party ticket, you can enter as early as as 4pm. The entrance of Magic Kingdom can be a bit crazy but there are cast members and signs to help you find your way around. Once you enter the park, you are ushered to the TomorrowLand Terrace to get your candy bag. It is crowded but it is a pretty quick process. This year, we got a full size bag of caramel M&M’s.

Our first stop was to get dinner and since we were already in TomorrowLand, we placed a mobile order for Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. We started to head to Main Street Emporium to grab our Halloween party souvenirs but we got caught in a downpour. I highly recommend you bring ponchos and a rain cover for your stroller as it was a lifesaver for us. Since we went into the Emporium close to 7pm, it was still pretty crowded with the regular day guests but we were able to grab the party Spirit Jersey and some party pins.

The crowd had eased as we left the Emporium since regular day guests were being escorted out, so we got some photos taken on Main Street then scoped out a spot for the Hocus Pocus show at 7:35pm and to watch the first parade. Unfortunately, the 7:35pm show got canceled but due to the delay, we grabbed the party exclusive fries from Casey’s Corner. Highly recommend mobile ordering as the line was so long. We enjoyed the first parade and thankfully had a decent spot for the kiddos to see everything but due to the rain, there was no Powerline that we saw and no Headless Horseman.

Once the parade was over, we headed to get some candy and ride some rides, Space Mountain had a short wait so my husband and two oldest rode that while the youngest and I enjoyed the dance party. We continued to hit some candy lines and enjoyed the Monster Inc. Laugh Floor. It is a candy station but the jokes as people are walking through are funny so if you like a good laugh, I highly recommend you grab a seat and enjoy the show.

After a few more candy stations, the kids wanted to enjoy some rides so we hit up the StoryBook Circus area. We enjoyed the fireworks from behind as the kids were enjoying the rides. The 10:35pm Hocus Pocus show was a bit delayed but they did end up doing some of it. It was only 10 minutes long but we got a great spot near the front and slightly off to the side. We rode one more ride after that as the kids wanted to ride the Mad Hatter Tea Cups. By that point, the kids were getting tired so we ended down Main Street before the second parade started. I did stop at the Main Street Confectionery to grab the Halloween popcorn, which we enjoyed for the remainder of the week.
The party for us was very enjoyable. We took it easy and went at the kids pace. The only regret I have is worrying about getting a good spot for the show and parade and not enjoying more of the park during that time and just watching the parade from wherever we ended up. We did leave with three gallon size storage bags of candy. Overall, the whole family enjoyed themselves and we didn’t feel like we missed out on anything.
Remember that I can help you plan your family vacations and that includes Disney World with party tickets! #neverlandingtravelbysara #mnsshp2025 #disneyworld
